Introduction
Hello there!
Allow me to introduce myself - my name is Ainy (well, my full name is Quratulain which means "solace of the eyes" in Arabic). During my last semester of college and recently graduating, I found myself reflecting a lot and figuring out what I wanted to do next. I have a lot of ambitions I hope to pursue, and I realized it's okay to take things slowly one step at a time...
I want to travel the world and immerse myself in different cultures. I want to meet people and listen to their stories. I want to study Islam and form my own spiritual connection. I want to put in my all towards my career and make a positive impact on society. I want to strengthen my relationships with my family and friends. I want to build a home with my future husband. I want to mentor students and be an inspiration to even just one person. I want to say yes to things I normally wouldn't even consider. I want to keep working towards being a better person.
I used to be an active blogger all throughout middle and high school, but things changed in college once I started focusing on my major and career. As an economics major, I didn't have much reading or writing to do - so I've decided to get back into it to keep my creative flow going during my adult / post grad stages.
I honestly don't expect anyone to read this blog, but I don't mind an audience :)
FUN FACTS!!
- My Myers Briggs personality type is ENTJ aka "The Commander". Basically, we are the ones who are leaders, logical, critical, blunt, and decisive.
- My ideal day is exploring a city (going to a museum, coffee shop, rooftop brunch) and my ideal night is ordering food and watching movies.
- I am a huge foodie, will probably post a lot about new foods I try. My favorite foods are wings, quesadillas, chicken parmigiana, and most Pakistani dishes.
- Harry Potter and Marvel movies are my favorite.
- I have recently gotten into working out and healthy lifestyle choices.
- My favorite color is blush pink.
- Peonies are my favorite flower.
- I watch way too much TV...not sure how I can even pick my favorite shows.
- I am starting to learn how to cook now that I am back home. I have always loved to bake and be in the kitchen, but learning how to cook Pakistani dishes is a whole other story.
Stay tuned in as I start this whole "adult life" journey...
Always,
Ainy
